Who we are and what this policy covers
Prism Jiu Jitsu LLC ("Prism," "we," "us") runs escondidojiujitsu.com. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and who we share it with.
It also covers the booking calendars, website chat, and landing pages that link to this policy, and the texts, calls, and emails we send to people who reach out to us through them. It does not cover our in-gym membership agreements, which have their own terms.

Information we collect
Information you give us
Booking a free class: your first and last name, phone number, email address, and the class and time you choose.
Chatting with us on the website: what you type, plus your name, phone number, or email if you give them.
Texting, calling, or emailing us: your phone number or email address and what you tell us.
Buying or registering online (for example, summer camp or an in-house tournament): your name, email, phone number, and billing address, plus details about the person you are registering, such as a child's name and age. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we and the companies listed under "Cookies, pixels, and ads" collect information such as your IP address, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, the pages you view and for how long, what you click and how you scroll, the website or ad that brought you here, and ad click identifiers. Much of this is collected through cookies and similar tools.
How we use your information
To book your free class and send confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates.
To answer your questions.
To follow up about your visit and about joining, and to send news and offers, by the methods you agreed to (see "Texts, calls, and emails").
To process online purchases and registrations.
To run, measure, and improve our ads, including showing our ads to people who have visited our website.

Texts, calls, and emails
When you book a class, start a chat, or give us your phone number or email, here is how we may contact you.
Replies to your questions. If you text us, or start a chat and give us your phone number or email, we may reply by text or email about your question.
Texts about your booking. If you agree to receive texts, we text you about the class you booked, such as confirmations, reminders, and rescheduling.
Marketing texts. We send texts that follow up about joining, or that share news and offers, only if you agreed to receive them. You never have to agree in order to book a class or buy anything.
How our texts work. Texts are sent through an automated texting platform. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or tell us any other reasonable way, and we will honor it. Reply HELP for help. After you opt out, we may send one text confirming it.
Automated and AI replies. Some replies to texts and website chats may be written and sent by an automated assistant that uses artificial intelligence. Our staff can see these conversations. If you want to talk to a person, just say so and a team member will reply.
Calls. We may call the number you gave us about your booking or your questions. We use prerecorded or artificial voice messages (including AI-generated voices) only if you agreed to receive them. If we record a call, we will tell you at the start of the call.
Emails. We email you about your booking and, if you are interested in training with us, follow up about joining. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop emails about a class you booked or something you bought.
Your mobile information stays with us. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share phone numbers only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our texting platform, booking and customer-records system, marketing agency, payment processors, and wireless carriers, and only so they can provide services to us. Text message opt-in data and consent are excluded from every other kind of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties other than those service providers.
Cookies, pixels, and ads
Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools. Some are ours, and some belong to the companies below. These companies may collect information about your activity on our website and on other websites over time. They may also use it for their own purposes, as described in their own privacy policies.

We use these tools to understand and improve our site and ads, not to identify individual visitors.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site, like the booking calendar, may not work without them. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org, and use the links in the table.
Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. When your browser sends one, the tools above may still collect information as described here.
Other websites. Our site links to other websites, like Instagram and Google reviews. Their privacy practices are their own.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your name, phone number, or email address. We share information only in these ways:
Service providers that run our website, booking calendar, chat, texting, email, and customer records, our marketing agency, and our payment processors. We share information with them so they can provide those services to us.
Advertising and analytics companies listed under "Cookies, pixels, and ads," through the tools on our site. We may also give ad platforms a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address so we can show you our ads, measure them, or avoid showing ads to people who already train with us. We never include mobile phone numbers or text message opt-in data when we do this.
For legal reasons, when we believe the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prism, our members, or others.
If our business changes hands, as part of a sale, merger, or similar transfer, the new owner would receive this information.
With your permission, in any other case.
Children and teens
Our website is meant for adults, including parents booking classes for their children. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13.
When you book a free class for your child, we ask for your contact information as the parent or guardian. When you register a child for a camp or event, we also ask for basic details about the child, such as name and age.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information online without a parent, contact us and we will delete it. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian book for you.
Keeping and protecting your information
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, such as while you are a prospective student or member and for a reasonable time after, or longer if the law requires. We keep a record of opt-out requests so that we do not contact you again.
We use reasonable safeguards, such as limiting access to staff and service providers who need it and protecting our accounts with passwords. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Stop texts: reply STOP, or tell us any other reasonable way.
Stop marketing emails: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Stop calls: tell us during a call, or contact us using the information below.
See, correct, or delete your information: contact us using the information below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 45 days. We may keep some information when we need to, such as a record of your opt-out or records the law requires us to keep.

California residents. You can use any of the choices above. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a material change, we will also post a notice of the change on this page.
